We built Kokonut’s MCP to work with an AI agent running on your machine: your data never leaves your environment. Your sensitive information never passes through a third-party cloud—you decide what the AI sees and what it can do.
And if you prefer, nothing stops you from connecting it to your assistant of choice—Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral, or another. The choice is yours.

Kokonut’s MCP is an open standard. It works with any assistant that supports the Model Context Protocol:
- Local agent (recommended) — the sovereign option: an agent running in your environment, with no dependency on a third-party cloud. The one we designed Kokonut for.
- Claude (Anthropic) — the reference MCP client. Connect to Claude Desktop or Claude.ai in just a few clicks.
- ChatGPT / OpenAI — manage your business from within the OpenAI ecosystem.
- Mistral · Le Chat — a European model, aligned with your values.
- Your own agent — a developer? Connect any MCP-compatible agent and automate your workflows.
For a local agent, we recommend Jan or LM Studio: install the app on your machine, connect Kokonut’s MCP server, and chat with your business—your data stays with you.
What you can do
A single sentence is all it takes: your assistant handles the rest, directly in Kokonut Business.
- Clients your address book updates itself. Ask for a client, and the AI finds or creates it, pre-filled from the Swiss Zefix registry.
- Products your prices, units, and VAT rates are always at hand—no need to open a single spreadsheet.
- Quotes from estimate to signature without leaving the conversation: the AI drafts, calculates totals, gets approval, and turns the quote into an invoice.
- Invoices invoice by talking. Lines, VAT, and discounts are calculated for you—and you always have the final say.

You: « Add Müller SA as a client (search in Zefix) and prepare a quote for them: 20 hours of consulting at 150 CHF. »
The agent searches for « Müller SA » in Zefix, creates the client record, then generates quote OFF-2026-0087: 3,000.00 CHF excl. VAT, 243.00 CHF VAT (8.1%), for a total of 3,243.00 CHF incl. VAT.
You: « Perfect, convert it into an invoice. »
Invoice FAC-2026-0142 is created as a draft, due on 17.07.2026, ready for your approval.
