FAQ
What is the swiss made software + AI label?
Launched in 2025 by swiss made software, it extends the label for software developed in Switzerland. It recognises companies that build in AI and requires them to state publicly where and how they use it, and whether it comes from a third party, open source or in-house development.
What is the swiss hosting label?
Also awarded by swiss made software, it certifies that data is hosted in a data centre located in Switzerland and governed by Swiss law, and that the company and its management are based in Switzerland.
Is Kokonut's AI Swiss?
FYSK runs in Switzerland, on open-weight models built into a tool developed by Kokonut. The label does not require Swiss AI, but declared AI: that is why we also state our European fallback.
When is Mistral used?
Only when FYSK cannot process a document, for example a poor-quality scan. Processing then takes place in the European Union, at Mistral AI.
Is my data used to train the AI?
No, unless you expressly allow it. This consent is optional, has no effect on your access to the service and can be withdrawn at any time.
What if I connect my own assistant with Kokonut MCP?
You choose and configure the assistant (Claude, ChatGPT, Le Chat…): your data is then processed under that provider's terms, possibly outside Switzerland. To keep it within your own infrastructure, we recommend a local model, with LM Studio or Ollama.
Does the kokonut.ch website use AI?
Yes, to translate our articles and generate their audio version, with Mistral AI models (including Voxtral). Only public content is processed, never our clients' data.
