Frequently asked questions
When is the app coming out?
Kokonut Capture is coming to the App Store, then Google Play. Join the waiting list: you will hear as soon as it opens, and trustees on the list equip their clients first.
Is the app really free?
Yes. For individuals, Kokonut Capture downloads and runs with no fee and no subscription. When a trustee equips their clients, deposits go through the trustee's Kokonut Fid subscription: the client pays nothing.
Does my client need an account?
No. They install the app and use it straight away. To deposit with you, they enter the device code you give them once: their phone is then linked to their file.
Do you need a connection to scan?
No. Scanning, reading and filing documents work offline. Only deposits and scan sessions need the network, and an interrupted upload can be resent as soon as it is back.
What about a multi-page document?
Scan the pages one after another: they form a single document, a single PDF, in order. A three-page contract or invoice goes out in one piece.
Which documents go with a deposit?
Everything your client scanned during the period of the deposit QR code. A document already received never arrives twice, a deposited document is locked on the phone, and an interrupted upload resumes where it stopped.
Where are documents processed?
Scanning, text reading and PDF creation happen on the phone. Nothing leaves the device before a deposit or a scan session; documents then join the Fid file, hosted in Switzerland.
Is the app available in German and English?
Yes. Kokonut Capture speaks French, German and English, and follows the phone's language. Dates and amounts stay in Swiss format.
What about a pile of receipts?
Open the scan session from Kokonut Slice: each scan becomes a Slice batch, which then separates every receipt.
